Hello and Welcome!
I’m Amanda, the artist, educator, and tea lover behind The Scribblist. Most days you can find me painting in my studio just outside of Portland, Oregon with my faithful pup Brady by my side. I earned my Bachelor of Art degree from UCLA, and my Master of Fine Art from Tufts University. I am classically trained in painting, drawing and sculpture and absolutely love bringing these skills to the table to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind stationery, murals and custom artwork.
I have taught over 400 students the art of hand lettering, calligraphy, and watercolor through my workshops and courses. I adore helping others ignite their creative spark!
When I’m not painting or working on my next project, you can find me daydreaming about traveling the world with my husband (there’s a strong possibility we are cuddled up on the couch watching Rick Steves), or baking a pie.
